The Khopra Danda / Mardi Himal Trekking is a newly opened route and hidden treasure in the Annapurna region. This trek is best destination to avoid the crowd. This trek offers imaging view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. Khayer Barahi Temple or Khayer Lake, Hidon Lake, Mardi Himal base camp and Ghandruk village is the major attraction of this trek.

This trek starts at Nayapul after 2 hours driving from Pokhara. You will walk mostly on forest. You will see wild animals and flowers. Khayer Barahi Lake is never frozen lake from where you can view Dhaulagiri Tukuche, Nilgiri and Poonhill valley. Many pilgrims visit this lake on Janaipurnima. Hidon Lake from where you can see close view South Annapurna and Machhapuchhre and Landruk / Ghandruk valley/ Pokhara. Mardi Himal Base Camp: Best view of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri etc. After that, we return all the way down to Deurali. When we arrive to Deurali, we trek down to Kande and then drive back to Pokhara.

Khopra Danda / Mardi Himal trek is fully tea house supported Trek. Nowadays, you can stay Lodge to Lodge. If you do not have enough time for this combine trek, you can also do only Khopra Danda Trek or Mardi Himal Trek. Khopra Danda Trek via Mardi Himal Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range from Khopra Danda.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Trivuwan International airport in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (6/7 hour driving) by tourist bus.

Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul (2hours driving by Car/Van/Jeep.

Day 04: Ghandruk to Tadapani (2630m, 3-4 hours walking).

Day 05: Tadapani to Baisi Kharka ( Dobato) (3420, 5-6 hours walking).

Day 06: Dobato to Dham Kharka/ Sisty Bang (3026m, 5-6 hours walking).

Day 07: Sisty Bang to Khopra Danda (3-4 hours walking).

Day 08: Hike to Khayer Barahi Lake with Pack lunch (6-7 hours walking).

Day 09: Khopra Danda to Bayeli /Dobato (3420m, 6-7 hours walking).

Day 10: Bayeli /Dobato to Hidon Lake (4405m, 5 hours walking).

Day 11: Hidon lake to Chhomrong (2170m, 6-7 hours walking).

Day 12: Chhomrong to Forest camp (3050m, 6-7 hours walking).

Day 13: Forest Camp to High Camp (3900m, 5-6 hours walking).

Day 14: Hike to Mardi Himal Base camp with pack lunch (4500m, 6 hours walking).

Day 15: High Camp to Forest Camp (3050m, 4-5 hours walking).

Day 16: Forest Camp to Kande and drive to Pokhara.

Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km. 6/7 hours driving) by tourist bus.

Day 18: Departure to international airport.
